Antique 2/4 Min Conversion Attachment for Edison Standard Phonograph A, B
To convert your Edison Standard Phonograph Models A or B, to play 2 or 4 minutes records, takes just a few simple steps:
1. replace the shaft of the middle gear with a longer shaft that is included
2. replace the smaller gear with the gear included
3. replace the head screw that keeps the bearing shaft in place, with a tiny set screw included. Align and tighten it all up.
The tension of the shifter gear movement from 2 to 4 and back,
could be adjusted by a set screw (pic 6)
.
At the end of this, few minutes process, your phonograph gearing should look like what you can see in the last 2 pictures (the phonograph is not included).
