Description

Don't be fooled into buying cheap Castor seeds from India. These seeds are not acclimated to typical USA climates and will not perform as well as my ORGANIC seed Raised in Zone 5-6 eastern West Virginia.
Castor oil and the beautiful castor plant (Ricinus Communis)
is known to repel voles, moles, and mice. Plants are resistant to deer and most other pests.
I cultivate plants intermixed with the crops I want to protect.  For example, I have a severe problem with voles.  They have decimated my sweet potato crop in years past.  Now I plant Castor on the north side of my beds and prune the huge leaves to allow light to reach the potatoes.  No more vole problems

30 seeds from 2022 harvest (fresh for 2023 planting season) although seeds are viable for at least several years.
