    Description

Here is a fun Edison Blue Amberol cylinder, #3517, the song "Lorraine (My Beautiful Alsace-Lorraine)", performed by Vernon Dalhart, with his buddies in the chorus (Gladys Rice, Marion Evelyn Cox, Harvey Hindermeyer, and Donald Chalmers), and orchestra.  This was recorded  on March 14, 1918 and Edison released this cylinder in August 1918.  Apparently Mr. Dalhart enjoyed the scenery while "over there", pretty melody, a nice listen.  This is about six years before Mr. Dalhart started singing "mountaineer" or "country" songs.  The record plays quite well with fairly minimal surface noise.  I will include a period correct
(if somewhat battered) cylinder box for you.  Add this 103 year old cylinder to your collection at my reasonable buy it now price, go for it!!
