    Description

Here is a scarce Edison Blue Amberol cylinder, #5079.  The male a cappella group Apollo Quartet of Boston performs the hymn "The Church in the Wildwood".  This was recorded on January 19, 1917, but Edison did not release this cylinder until April 1926.  Excellent singing by the quartet, a fun listen.  The cylinder plays very well with little surface noise, sounds great.  I will include a period correct (if somewhat battered) cylinder box for you and the seldom seen end cap with number and title, as you see in the third picture.  Spring 1926 is very late in Cylinder Land, and I can't imagine this was a big seller, if this is what you like do not pass it up!  Add this cylinder to your collection at a reasonable buy it now price, go for it!!!
Shipping to USA addresses only.  .50 media mail postage and fees, I will ship cylinder in a new box.  Please pay within 24 hours of purchase and I will leave you positive feedback when I ship the cylinder, your positive feedback appreciated!  See my store for more cylinder records, Iwill combine shipping if you buy more than one, and thanks for looking!!
