Lace edge, hand painted, milk glass bowl

Description

This milk glass bowl has a hand painted botanical pattern covering the outside. The pattern is molded into the bowl. It is painted in 4 sections which alternate between pink and blue flowers. This bowl also has a lace edge and short foot. The measurements of this piece are 8 1/4 wide and 4 1/8 deep. The base is 4 inches across. On the inside bottom there is a molded medallion of the botanical pattern which is unpainted. There is a small chip on the foot, tiny chips on the rim, and one tiny flake on one of the leaves in a pink section. I tried to show these in the last 3 pictures. I believe this piece is from around the 1950's. It is unmarked and I have not found another example like it. This is a very pretty bowl with great eye appeal.
