Edison Records -George Wilton Ballard and Waikiki Hawaiian Orchestra. Found at an estate of a record collector. These include:
George Wilton Ballard –I Lost My Heart in Honolulu/San San Soo “Hip Hip Hooray”.
Record Company: Edison Laboratories.
Recorded in 1912-1919.
Waikiki Hawaiian Orchestra– Pearl of Hawaii/Where is my Rose of Waikiki.
Record Company: Edison Laboratories.
Recorded April 9, 1925, New York, NY. The two-digit code "75" at the approximate 12 o'clock position of the L-side label indicates that this record was pressed in July 1925.
Waikiki Hawaiian Orchestra– Coral Sands of My Hawaii/I Still Believe in You.
Recorded 1928, New York, NY.
The three-digit code "128" at the approximate 12 o'clock position of the L-side label indicates that this record was pressed in Dec. 1928.
Waikiki Hawaiian Orchestra– Waters of The Perkiomen / Drifting & Dreaming.
Record Company: Edison Laboratories.
Recorded August, 1926, New York, NY.
A fourth musician (L. Napolitano) was also present at this session, although his/her role is not known.
The two-digit code "86" at the approximate 12 o'clock position of the L-side label indicates that this record was pressed in August, 1926.
The Edison Diamond Disc Record is a type of phonograph record marketed by Thomas A. Edison, Inc. on their Edison Record label from 1912 to 1929.
They were named Diamond Discs because the matching Edison Disc Phonograph was fitted with a permanent conical diamond stylus for playing them. Condition m
ay show some signs that it was played and handled by a previous owner who took reasonably good care of it.
Imperfections are cosmetic and do not drastically impact the playback.
Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs and surface scratches.
Slight warps that do not affect the sound are ok.
As with most vinyl, there may be low-level surface noise and light crackles and pops may be present, especially during quiet or soft passages in the track.
