    Antique Edison Phonograph
    Description:
    Presented for your consideration is this neat Edison Model C Standard phonograph. The phonograph has a beautiful oak case with "Edison" in gold colored lettering on the front of the base. Just under this lettering is a small plaque that reads "Made for International Correspondence Schools. Scranton, PA. By Thomas A. Edison." Lid of the case has a swinging, wooden carrying handle. The top of the base houses the phonograph with the upper portion of the mechanism exposed. The top part of the mechanism includes the cylinder record holder and a model C reproducer. The front edge is marked with "Trade Mark. Thomas A. Edison" in gold lettering and towards the back is a manufacturer information plaque. This plaque states that the phonograph is a Edison Standard Phonograph manufactured under the patents of Thomas A. Edison. It also lists the patent dates with the latest being Oct. 3, 1905. Serial number is 806611. The motor looks to be in good condition and at the time of listing is running and working. Included with the phonograph is an unusual horn with a flexible neck and a bakelite ear piece at the end. Believed to have been for private listening. Quite a rare attachment! Also included is a small ruler like device with the alphabet on it and 25 I.L.S. Language System cylinder records. Each record contains lessons in learning the German language. All of the records store inside of a cardboard case. Guaranteed to be antique. This neat phonograph would make a great addition to any antique phonograph or music memorabilia collection!
    The phonograph works but needs a new belt. Right now the motor runs but the cylinder record holder does not move due to the missing belt. The cases for the records show some wear. Some of the records may contain wear and foxing. Records are untested, therefore we are unsure as to how well they play. Typical light wear from age and use. Overall the phonograph is in VERY GOOD condition. Records are in GOOD-VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
    Measures 13" wide excluding the crank, 9" deep and 9 1/2" tall without the lid (11" tall with the lid).
