Description: Sweet Basil Essential Oil is steam distilled from the leaves and blossoms of the Basil plant.
Common Uses:  Sweet Basil Essential Oil is commonly used to help relieve menstrual pain or the pain of intensinal cramping.
Sweet Basil Essential Oil is often vaporized as a study aid, usually in a blend with Rosemary and Lemon Essential Oils.
Common Applications:
Intestinal dicomfort: Add no more than 5 drops of Sweet Basil Essential Oil to a tablespoon of vegetable oil.  Massage into the abdomen in a clockwise direction starting at the bottom left.  This follows the route of the large intestine and will provide relief from the pressure.
Mental stress: Add 3 drops of Sweet Basil Essential Oil to a vaporizer in an average sized bedroom, or up to 6 drops for a large living area.
The smell will invigorate initially, and then calm the nervous system and promote restful sleep.  Do not vaporize Sweet Basil Essential Oil when you will be driving.
Blends well with the following essential oils: Bergamot, Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Lime, Eucalyptus, Juniper, Lemon, Neroli, and Rosemary.
