    Description

    Here are Two (2) 4 Minute Edison Amberol Cylinder Records with cracks.  Both are in good original boxes .. the the Uncle Josh cylinder has the original lid.  Both records have a crack running length wise.  Note that these records are very delicate .. they are made of wax and
    preceded Edison Blue Amberol records.  Both records can be heard on the UCSB Audio Archive.
    #  11    Talking, Uncle Josh and The Sailor.  The crack runs the length of the groves.  I have played the record but do not recommend doing so.  Slipping it on the mandrel may extend the crack to the point where the cylinder expands and is unplayable.
    # 887   Dat's Harmony, Roberts.  The crack in this one makes it unplayable.  I believe the great Bert Williams had a part in writing this piece.
