Vintage Farberware Model 501 Glass Top Automatic Coffee Maker Pot

Hi, This is a Farberware Automatic Coffee Maker, Model 501. I placed water in the bottom and it did heat up. The glass has chips on the bottom stem. I do not know what else is needed for a filter, and I don't think the piece inside comes out. There are some marks and spotting on the metal, and the inside of the pot shows use and wear. The handles and knob are wood.
