Vtg 1960s MCM PROCTOR-SILEX SCM Atomic Starburst Glass Coffee Percolator 70503 Works!
This vintage electric percolator is in very good used condition. Gold stars are excellent, no wear in lustre, glass is chip/crack free. Black plastic legs, handles and base also very good, a few fine scratches here and there, no breaks, no cracks, no chips. Chrome lid excellent, no dents or dings. With original cord (soft), stem and basket, the filter top may not be right, seems too big (as-found/add on?). I plugged in and percolated with water on Medium, not the speediest to heat up but once it does, it gets very hot. No indicator light, I'm not sure if it has a sensor to automatically shut off, it perked for about 10-15 minutes and I got a little nervous about it getting too hot so I unplugged. Dial is centered, its stiff, I could not roll it over to D (Dark) or L(Light). There may be an adjustment just below the dial on base.
